Mission Statement

Walker dam Aberdeen

Protect and Enhance

To Protect and enhance the Walker Dam wildlife environment for the benefit of Aberdeen.

Intentions

Our intentions are to improve the area to the benefit of wildlife thus making it a unique kind of area, attractive to those interested in wildlife. The area at the moment while attractive to wildlife has I believe not reached its potential, some tidying up and planting of appropriate shrubs to attract more wildlife and encourage the existing wildlife would be a huge benefit.

  • Aspirations

Some projects we may aspire to in the future are as follows:

  • 1. improvement of the existing paths. 2. wheelchair access to view the dam. 3. notice boards for information on the dam and wildlife etc. 4. Promote the educational aspects of the dam to schools and colleges.

There are many  things that can be improved, our imagination is our tool.

    Local Support Organisations

We have had discussions with Aberdeen Council who have offered their help in many ways and I look forward to a future partnership. Craigiebuckler & Seafield Communuity Council will also assist us in any way they can.
